FIREFOX IS THE BEST BROWSER IN THE WORLD
The Top 10 reasons (in brief) :
1. Open Source. If you don't know what that means, check it out on Wikipedia.This in turns means better support from a large community of developers (see No. 9).
2. Useful Goodies Built in. This includes the Google search integrated into your toolbar, the textarea spellcheck and anti-phishing measures (for example, it tells you when you are on a fake PayPal site).
3. Tabbed Browsing. Allows you to open multiple web pages within a single window. No more cluttering of your monitor screen.
4. Auto Popup Blocker. Firefox will automatically block popups and let you know. You can then decide whether to allow it or not.
5. Community. You are not just downloading a browser but in fact joining a huge community of passionate users.
6. Add Ons: Because of reason No 5, there are thousands of add-ons - extensions, plugins and themes that allow you to personalise and make your browser, your own.
7. Smaller and Faster. The whole software is only 5.6 MB and loads sites than several other browsers.
8. Works Across Different Platforms. It's not limited to the Windows operating system and you can use it on the Mac as well as Linux machines (in more than 35 languages).9. Supports Web standards. Unlike some other passionate Firefox users, I don't hate Microsoft and I use a computer running XP and also have IE installed on my computer (though I use it sparingly for those sites "Best viewed under IE").
